The Japanese Championship 2024, or 25th Argentina Cup, is a 9-round Swiss, held from the 2nd to the 6th of May in Tokyo, Japan.

Time control is 90 minutes for the entire game with a 30-second increment from move 1.

The top five finishers overall and the top finishers in the Women's, Junior, and Senior sections will be seeded for the next championship in 2025. The top finisher will also join the national team for the 45th Chess Olympiad, be recognized as the All-Japan Chess Champion, and receive the Argentina Cup from the Embassy of Argentina.
